History
We would like to take you on a guided tour. A historical tour
that not only involves Bornholm, that is in many ways a unique
captivating region of Denmark, but also our company, of course. |
Bornholms Ltd. started manufacturing products
in 1915, and down through the ages the company has played
a vital role in the island's history in general and Nexø
in particular. During the hard times of the 1930s, more than
fifty inhabitants of Nexø earned their living at the
factory.

The Bornholm countryside is unique and in
many ways a miniature version of Scandinavia rocks, cliffs,
skerries, white sandy beaches, natural forests, hills, lakes
and ponds. Bornholm has it all. |
Bornholms Ltd. has deep, proud roots in the
island's culture. Bornholm is known as the "Pearl of
the Baltic Sea" and anyone who has ever visited the island
will agree.
Bornholm not only exemplifies a genuine, traditional
way of life, but also a modern, well-developed society. The
dependence on traditional industries has gradually decreased
and new companies in new business fields have emerged. |
Like other parts of Denmark that have been
occupied by foreign nations in modern times, the people of
Bornholm greatly cherish their strong, firmly established
values. One such value is hospitality, which also explains
why tourism is one of the three main industries of Bornholm.
Agriculture and fishing are the other two.
The Baltic Sea region is reputed for its great
industriousness. At Bornholms Ltd., we ambitiously work to contribute
to a continued high level of commercial activity in the region. |
587 square kilometres of idyllic landscapes.
A community that is still close to nature, agriculture and
fishing. This is your guarantee that the products of Bornholms
Ltd. are manufactured with respect for nature and with passionate
fondness of high-quality food products.
